The VOCON Energy Management team have over 40 years’ experience supporting the Gas network, from the early years of National Grid, with our management team having worked and trained with British Gas and National Grid.
Today, we are proud to say we work directly with Cadent Gas and a key part of their supply chain in the Yorkshire and East Midlands regions. An ongoing relationship that spans over 15 years, which today operates under the VOCON Energy brand.
Our Gas Services
We have a team of fully qualified and experienced engineers who can deliver a comprehensive range of gas services across both domestic and commercial settings.
We offer flexible booking for planned works between 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, alongside a reliable 7-day call-out service for urgent requirements, ensuring minimal disruption and a prompt response when needed.
VOCON Energy provide the following gas services:
Domestic Gas Appliance Installation – Safe and compliant installation of boilers, cookers, hobs, and other gas appliances, carried out in line with current regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
Domestic Gas Appliance Servicing – Routine servicing to maintain efficiency, prolong appliance lifespan, and ensure safe operation, including thorough inspections and performance checks.
Domestic Gas Appliance Repairs / Fault Finding – Diagnostic and repair services to quickly identify faults and restore appliances to full working order, reducing downtime and potential safety risks.
Domestic Gas Safety Checks (Landlord Certificates) – CP12 gas safety inspections for landlords, ensuring all appliances and pipework meet legal safety standards and providing full certification.
New Gas Services From The Meter
– Installation of new gas pipework systems from the meter to appliances, tailored to property requirements and compliant with all relevant standards.
Gas Purge & Relights on Domestic and Commercial Meters
Working alongside both Cadent and Network Plus, we supply Domestic and Commercial engineers to reconnect gas supplies to an average of 400 properties per week.
Each property has gas safety tests done by our Gas Safe engineers plus relight and visual checks on each appliance to ensure they are working correctly and comply with current gas regulations.
As part of the mains replacement contract, some gas meters are moved externally into wall-mounted meter boxes. Our engineers are able to repipe in copper to current regulations, following this, all tests and appliance checks are completed.
Once the above is complete, our 18th edition electricians alter and reconnect the earth bonding cable and issue a certificate to the customer.
