Gas Sector

 

The VOCON Energy Management team have over 40 years experience supporting the Gas network, from the early years of National Grid, with our management team having worked and trained with British Gas and National Grid.

Today we are proud to say we work directly with Cadent Gas and a key part of their supply chain in the Yorkshire and East Midlands regions. An ongoing relationship that spans over 15 years which today operates under the VOCON Energy brand.

We currently have engineers actively deployed on the following work streams within the gas sector today:

Purge & Relights.

Working alongside both tRiio and Network Plus we supply Domestic and Commercial engineers to reconnect gas supplies to an average of 400 properties per week.

Each property will have all gas safety tests done by our Gas Safe engineers plus relight and visual checks on each appliance to ensure they are working correctly and comply to current gas regulations.

By using data collecting apps all vulnerable customers are highlighted and our engineers check daily for priority jobs which will be done promptly.

As part of the mains replacement contract some gas meters will need to be moved externally into wall mounted meter boxes. Our engineers will need to re pipe in copper to current regulations, following this, all test and appliances checks will be completed.

Once the above is complete our 18th edition electricians will follow to alter and reconnect the earth bonding cable and issue a certificate to the customer.

Every job is captured on both the Cadent app and our own Onsite app with all the details of each job for future reference.

 

Emergency Response/ Call Out – The company management team began their trade within the gas sector providing the vital last part of the process, whereby we are switching customers gas supplies back on after the major utility infrastructure works have taken place, we continue to provide this standby emergency response service to the network and the key infrastructure suppliers and have demonstrated our ability to support key clients delivery their customer KPI’s

VOCON Energy deliver a full turnkey solution, from the initial customer contact, to appointment booking, through to final installation and the accurate scanning, tracking the return of each customer owned meter assets within its specific post code regions.
